Dr. Leung is a board-certified Child, Adolescent, and Adult Psychiatrist and an Assistant Professor in Psychiatry at Columbia University Medical Center. Dr. Leung specializes in the evaluation and treatment of children, adolescents, adults and their families using psychotherapeutic and psychopharmacological techniques. She has a particular expertise in the evaluation and treatment of children and families who are affected by chronic medical and psychiatric conditions. Her other areas of interest and expertise include: mood and anxiety disorders, transitions between life stages, and childhood and adult ADHD. She believes in a collaborative approach with patients and their families to achieve their treatment goals. Dr. Leung joined the Columbia University faculty in 2007 and currently serves as the Program Medical Director for the Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital Outpatient Child and Adolescent Pediatric Psychiatry Service (Community Services) at Columbia University Medical Center. In this capacity, she evaluates and treats children and adolescents with a particular expertise in ADHD, and mood and anxiety disorders. She also formerly served as the Program Medical Director at New York Presbyterian Hospital’s Special Needs Clinic, which specializes in the treatment of individuals and families who are experiencing symptoms from both medical and psychiatric conditions. Dr. Leung earned her medical degree from the McMaster University School of Medicine (Hamilton, Canada). She completed her general psychiatry residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital (Baltimore, MD) and her Child and Adolescent fellowship at the New York Presbyterian Hospital of Columbia and Cornell Universities. During her second year of child psychiatry training, she was selected to be the Chief Fellow for the Consultation Liaison Service at CUMC. She also completed her Public Psychiatry Fellowship at Columbia University.

Dr. Berman has extensive background in brain stimulation treatments such as Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS), tDCS (transcranial direct current stimulation), Deep Brain Stimulation and Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT). He has been credentialed at Columbia in ECT, rTMS, and other brain stimulation techniques, and has served as Medical Director for the Brain and Behavior Clinic and Brain Stimulation Service Outpatient Clinic.

As the Medical and Laboratory Director at Columbia University Fertility Center, Eric Forman, MD, HCLD, oversees the medical practice as well as the IVF embryology and andrology laboratories. He also actively sees patients with infertility and those seeking to preserve their fertility. Dr. Forman has extensive clinical and laboratory research experience. He has published more than 50 articles in peer-reviewed journals on a wide range of topics in assisted reproductive technology (ART) and serves as an Associate Editor at Fertility and Sterility. He has a special interest in using preimplantation genetic screening (PGS) to optimize IVF and improve selection for elective single embryo transfer (eSET). A randomized controlled trial he led demonstrated, for the first time, that transferring a single chromosomally-normal embryo can achieve the same live birth rates as transferring two untested embryos. After publication of this paper, eSET rates skyrocketed and the American Society for Reproductive Medicine references Dr. Forman’s study in its guideline on the number of embryos to transfer in IVF. He also has an interest in fertility preservation, and a study he led proved that egg freezing using the rapid vitrification technology does not increase the risk of genetic abnormalities in the resulting embryos. This study was cited as a “watershed in ART” by one of the world’s leading experts on cryopreservation. Dr. Forman specializes in providing individualized patient care to solve each unique couple’s challenge. He is active on social media where he frequently writes blogs and commentaries on important topics in reproductive medicine and the patient/physician experience.
