History
Constructed in 1974 by Philadelphia native John K. Desmond Jr., the hotel was originally named The Americana Inn and features 322 guest rooms and 24,000 square feet of meetings and events space. In 2021 the hotel completed a two year property wide renovation project and became the Crowne Plaza Albany - The Desmond Hotel.
