Founded in 1997, Con Edison Development Inc. (CED) develops renewable and energy infrastructure projects in the United States. The company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Consolidated Edison Inc., which is one of the largest investor-owned energy companies in the United States. Con Edison Development Inc. also owns investments in energy-related projects through leasehold interests and an energy fund as well as affordable housing projects through private sector investments. Consolidated Edison Inc. comprises business segments that include Consolidated Edison Company of New York, Orange & Rockland Utilities (ROB) and its energy businesses. The company has been serving New York for more than 180 years.
