Founded in 1972, Sunrise Medical Laboratories is a regional provider of diagnostic lab services for physicians, hospitals and clinical laboratories that offer advanced biomedical testing services. The laboratories provide electronic reporting and laboratory-physician computer links. It employs more than 300 people and provides services through a courier network and patient service centers. Located in Hauppauge, N.Y., Sunrise Medical Laboratories is licensed and accredited by the College of American Pathologists, New York State Department of Health, Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services, the Department of Health and Human Services and the Pennsylvania Department of Health. Its services include online lab results, insurance participation, diagnostic testing, online test catalog, courier and home care. It also offers special patient services that include billing inquiries and patient education.
