Clarkson University

Clarkson University is an independent research university offering comprehensive programs in business, engineering, science, liberal arts, health sciences and physical therapy. The school offers several pre-professional programs including pre-law and pre-veterinary. It has graduate programs in business administration, philosophy, chemical engineering, as well as numerous other fields. Clarkson works to set the standard for research by concentrating its strengths and leveraging expertise through cross-disciplinary teams. The university has several research centers including the Center for Advanced Materials Processing and the Center for Environment. Clarkson has more than 3,000 students from more than 30 states and foreign countries. The school offers division I men s and women s hockey, Nordic skiing, basketball and cross country along with more than 100 clubs and organizations. Clarkson was founded in 1896 and is located in Potsdam, N.Y.
