City of New Rochelle

The City School District of New Rochelle operates more than 10 elementary, middle and high schools, including New Rochelle High School, Albert Leonard Middle School, Isaac Young Middle School, Columbus Elementary School and William B. Ward Elementary School. In addition, it operates a childhood center called Barnard Early Childhood Center. The school district offers cafeteria services that include serving lunch and breakfast to students. Its educational department provides a home language questionnaire for schools to use while screening students as they enter the school system to determine how well a child understands, speaks, reads and writes in English and other languages.
