In sight of the Jefferson Market Library’s tall clock tower is our most spacious city store. Our famous seafood counter is stocked with delicacies managed by our skilled fishmongers. Nearby, our full-service butchers prep our poultry, house sausages and prime dry-aged meats. Turn right as you come for chef pastries and bread by nearby artisan bakers. Citarella's is a fine market, for fresh meats and fish. The take-out sushi and sashimi, however, are quite poor: dry fish, lumpy rice, a tasteless combination. One should avoid them.
