Childrens Aid Society

Founded in 1853, The Children s Aid Society provides services and programs that focus on meeting the social, emotional, physical and cognitive needs of children. It administers the Carrera Adolescent Sexuality and Pregnancy Prevention Program, which serves from more than 50 locations in over 20 U.S. states. The society serves more than 150,000 children and families at over 45 locations throughout New York. The Children s Aid Society holds several sports activities, such as basketball, swimming, volleyball, softball, soccer, and track and field. It administers various recreational activities that include arts programs related to visual arts, creative writing, music, dance and theater. The society also organizes field trips and outings, and classes for cooking, debate and chess. The Children s Aid Society is located in New York City.
