The Manhattan Psychiatric Center offers inpatient and outpatient treatment for people who suffer from developmental disabilities. The center provides medication, mental illness education and symptom management training services. The Manhattan Psychiatric Center offers crisis intervention, monitoring, case management and substance abuse counseling services. It provides intensive case management, 24-hour emergency and transitional residence solutions. The center also offers anger management services, as well as features a treatment refractory ward. The Manhattan Psychiatric Center is a part of the Office of Mental Health, which regulates, certifies and oversees more than 2,500 health care programs that are operated by local government and nonprofit agencies.

Northside Center for Child Development Center, located in New York City, is a child care organization that provides a variety of academic and extracurricular programs to children with mental and physical disabilities. Its various programs include preschool and after school care, extended care, summer camps and day care. Its curriculum includes language arts, math, science and discovery, cultural diversity, fine arts and music. It also offers occupational and speech therapies, including sign language. The center organizes special projects, field trips, tours and birthday parties. In addition, it organizes cooking classes for students. It also involves children in community-based programs, such as Beautify-a-Park, Childhood Cancer Month, Dental Health Care, Christmas and Good Friday Parties, picture week and art exhibitions.
