Cheryl Warfield
Soprano Cheryl Warfield has an extensive career, having performed over 15 lead roles in the standard operatic repertoire, including the title roles of Tosca, Aida, and La Gioconda. As an accomplished arts administrator, she is a founding member and producer for Amore Opera in Manhattan and serves as the artistic director of the Manhattan Opera Repertory Ensemble MORE Opera.
In addition to her performance work, Warfield founded ADVANCE, a not-for-profit vocal arts organization dedicated to producing concerts of classical music. Her innovative programs include tributes to notable artists such as Leontyne Price and Paul Robeson, as well as the one-woman musical play about the life of Dorothy Maynor, founder of the Harlem School of the Arts.
