Cesar's Shoe Repair has been a family-run business since 1976. You might say that in the 30 plus years since Cesar Andrade set up shop at 16th Street and 7th Avenue, across from Barney's New York, it has become a New York icon, an institution carrying on the old-time traditions, but now using the newest technology. Today we have multiple stores in Manhattan under the Andrade Shoe Repair name. Cesar Andrade came to New York from the old country in 1969; he was born into the trade, like his father before him, and he was trained from the age of 10 in the exacting skills of the cobbler's profession. Today the business is run by the third generation of the family, Edward Andrade, and the skilled practitioners in our workshop between 20th and 21st Streets on 7th Avenue typically have 15 years of experience in the craft. And, because of our large and experienced staff, we can complete most work the same day we receive it. We work for many individuals and companies in the theater, TV and fashion design industries, including the shows America's Next Top Model, Law and Order and American Gangster, and we have an exclusive account for Louis Vuitton. We do a lot of the work that other shoe repairers wouldn't touch, like difficult refinishings and repairs. Due to the continuing increase in the demand for our services, we have decided to launch this website to allow our customers another means of reaching us. So please enter and look at our service offerings. We think you will see that we offer the best service in town, with rapid turnaround time. And we offer FREE SHIPPING; just go to this page to print out a prepaid mailing label. Please call us with any shoe, bag or leather repair-related question, for a consultation with one of our shoe repair craftsmen.

In our throw away culture, shoe repair businesses have all but vanished from most cities. Not so New York. This is a pedestrian's city, and taking care of one's shoes is critical to saving money,...

Nice guy but the prices are questionable, at least for my lifestyle and the shoes I typically wear. I had a beat-up pair of Blundstones that I was thinking about reviving--he quoted me something...

This guy needs a reality check. I have been coming here for years and recently noticed his prices are getting out of control. I drew a line when he quoted $200 for some replacement. I went to...

My patronage at Cesar's Shoe Repair spans 15 years and counting, and I can confidently say that some things truly never change--like the phenomenal bench work that Edward (the owner) and his team...
