Cause Effective

Cause Effective provides management consulting services to nonprofits. We teach our clients how to build effective boards, manage successful events, and maximize their fundraising potential. We help them grow independently and experience tangible results from their efforts. Originally named "Folkworks, " Cause Effective was founded in 1981 by Ted Geier to stage the New York Folk Festival in partnership with Impact on Hunger, a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising awareness about and getting people involved in the fight against hunger. During the planning and production process, Ted realized that many nonprofits needed help organizing themselves and their events in order to fulfill their mission and serve their constituents. In the 25 years since then, Cause Effective has helped thousands of clients become more efficient, strategic and profitable, thereby contributing to the health and well-being of countless communities and individuals.
