As kids get into their teens they begin to get bored with camps. Well, not at Camp Ramaquois. There are faithful teenagers that go to the very end and many continue on to be counselors themselves....

Camp Ramaquois is tucked into the foothills of the Ramapo Mountains in Pomona, N.Y. The camp encompasses approximately 40 acres, with a 5-acre, spring-fed lake. Ramaquois goal is to provide campers with a healthy and rewarding summer experience. Campers are encouraged to experience new skills, work with peers and counselors, develop independence and assume responsibility. The camp offers campers activities such as basketball, soccer, hockey, tennis, softball, volleyball, gymnastics, flag football, soccer, archery, outdoor adventure, swimming, bumper boats, canoeing, fishing, arts and crafts, zip line and a host of others. The camps days are separated into seven periods, with personal optional choice periods and group optional choice periods available for specific age groups.

My son went to both Camp Ramaquois and Camp Yomi (92Y). He liked the experience at Yomi so much more, despite much higher tuition/cost of Ramaquios. I found Ramaquios counselors rude and...
