Establishments always welcome you into their doors, but here at Butera's Craft Beer & Craft Pizza, we truly aim to make your visit comfortable, enjoyable and memorable. It's not a company slogan or motto - It's Family Tradition. When my grandfather, Salvatore Butera, moved here from Italy, he went into the grocery, then the pizzeria business. In fact, he ran one of the first pizza stands at The Erie County Fair. Our Family just celebrated 60 years serving pizza at the Hamburg Fairgrounds! To say pizza is a part of our lives is an understatement. Under my grandfather's guidance, I learned the value of hard work and excellent customer service. When I was just a toddler, you could find me at the Fair slinging slices with my parents and grandfather as third generation in the pizza business. By age 15, I was cooking at area restaurants and eventually traveled across the majestic United States from the Grand Canyon to the Everglades doing what I know best - Cooking for others. You may recall 2006, when I opened Jimmies Pizza in Hamburg with my dedicated wife Lindsey, who runs Butera's with me today. Nine years at the pizzeria served as a stepping stone to this operation, which we opened in September 2015. Take a look at our authentic brick oven straight from Vienna, Italy. It pays homage to my grandfather's passion and trade. Together with our loyal staff, our goal is to bring pizza to the next level. What will you find on our menu? Fresh, homemade dishes developed from scratch using quality ingredients, with nothing frozen. Behind the bar, you will find a selection of wines and a large assortment of craft brews.
