Buckle My Shoe, founded in 1981, provides child care to the families of lower Manhattan. Its 10,000-square-foot facility in Tribeca, N.Y., offers care for children between 3-months to 6-years, and the carriage house in Greenwich Village, N.Y., enrolls children from ages 2 to 5. The center's summer programs include daily trips to parks, picnics and water play, and its specialty classes include movement, French and music. Its Tribeca location is accredited by the National association for the Education of Young Children and all its preschool teachers are certified by New York State in early childhood education.
