Broderick Park in Buffalo, NY, recently underwent an extensive $11 million renovation, enhancing the park, Bird Island Pier, and the West Ferry Street Bridge. Recognized as a designated Network to Freedom site by the US National Parks Service, the park serves as a historic terminus of the Underground Railroad, honoring those who sought freedom across the Niagara River.

Located at the foot of Ferry Street, Broderick Park features a plaque commemorating the brave men and women who crossed the water to reach safety in Canada. This scenic location along the Niagara River offers visitors a glimpse into the rich history of the area while providing a space for outdoor recreation and reflection.
