It is affiliated with Dairy Management Incorporated for the purpose of implementing a unified promotion and marketing plan throughout the United States. The American Dairy Association and Dairy Council operates in northern New Jersey, eastern Pennsylvania and New York, including a location in Syracuse, N.Y.

River Valley Foods is the exclusive Edy s Ice Cream and Haagen Dazs distributor of most of upstate New York and eastern and central Pennsylvania. River Valley Foods is a wholesaler and distributor of retail frozen foods, ice cream and novelties and packaged chilled foods. The privately-held company was formed in 1985. River Valley Foods stocks major frozen food and ice cream brands and delivers to the major supermarket chains, drug chains, independents and super center in upstate New York and eastern Pennsylvania. The River Valley brand is well-known in eastern and central New York. The line consists of frozen vegetables, juices, ice cream and novelties. River Valley Foods corporate office and main distribution center are located in Syracuse, N.Y. The company also maintains a regional sales office near Hamburg, Penn., and a regional transportation center in Leesport, Penn.
