Bright Futures

Woodward Mental Health Center is a privately held nonprofit orgnaization based in Freeport, N.Y. It serves emotionally disabled children of ages five through 21. Children receive mental health program services with parent and guardian involvement, integrated with special education, behavior management and social skills training. Its wide variety of services includes psychiatric evaluation, psychological evaluation, individual and group psychotherapy and parent group counseling. It also offers special education for all elementary and secondary grades, rehabilitation counseling and prescription and monitoring of psychotropic medication. Founded in 1950, the organization is licensed by the New York State Office of Mental Health and the New York State Education Department.
