The Center For Bariatric Surgery

The Center for Bariatric Surgery specializes in weight loss surgery, helping each patient achieve their goals, restore their health, and return to enjoying life to the fullest. At their offices in Dobbs Ferry and Poughkeepsie, New York, board-certified surgeon Dominick P. Artuso, MD, and his team support each patient's weight-loss journey every step of the way.The exceptional team streamlines the process by arranging for all the required pre-surgical evaluations and clearances. They also offer financing for patients whose health insurance doesn't cover bariatric surgery.Dr. Artuso frequently performs sleeve gastrectomy, gastric bypass, and LapBand (gastric band) surgeries. Patients who already had weight loss surgery and regained or didn't lose the expected weight have a second chance with revision procedures, such as a band over bypass.People with Type 2 diabetes who qualify for weight loss surgery can dramatically improve their blood sugar with diabetes surgery. Type 2 diabetes goes into remission for many patients after bariatric surgery.Dr. Artuso is a one-of-a-kind surgeon, driven by such a commitment to helping people lose weight that he was the first surgeon in Westchester County to dedicate his practice to bariatric surgery and the medical management of obesity. He is known for his expertise in minimally invasive procedures, and his involvement goes beyond the operating room. He also personally participates in each patient's care before and after surgery. The foundational mindset behind The Center for Bariatric Surgery may be best summed up in Dr. Artuso's own words: "Obesity impacts every aspect of one's life. My team and I are passionate about being involved with every patient and seeing the best result from weight loss surgery we can provide. Weight loss surgery improves people's lives, and it is very rewarding that I get to be a part of that."Anyone interested in weight loss surgery who values being treated as an individual and not a number should call The Center for Bariatric Surgery or book an appointment online today.
