He earned his B.S. in Chemistry from New York University (NYU) and completed his M.D. at NYU School of Medicine. After three years of surgical residency at NYU Medical Center, he trained in Interventional Radiology through a fellowship at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. He completed his diagnostic radiology residency at Cornell, serving as Chief Resident.Dr. Pua’s clinical practice includes a wide range of image-guided therapies such as embolization, stent placement, tumor ablation, biopsy, and vascular access. His focus areas include pediatric interventions and minimally invasive cancer therapy, with particular expertise in thoracic tumors.He co-founded a multidisciplinary vascular anomalies team that provides coordinated, longitudinal care for patients with hemangiomas, arteriovenous malformations, venous anomalies, and lymphatic disorders.As Director of the Lung Cancer Screening Program, Dr. Pua has streamlined diagnostic and therapeutic pathways for pulmonary nodules, accelerating access to curative treatment.
