Bowne & Co Stationers

History

Bowne Printers opened as an expansion of the South Street Seaport Museum's printing programming. It shares letterpress printing equipment from the museum's collections with its neighbor and sister shop, Bowne & Co., Stationers, which has been part of the South Street Seaport Museum since 1975. Both shops are descended from Bowne & Co., established 1775.

Custom letterpress printing and purveyors of handmade printed ephemera. Bowne Printers also hosts public and private printing workshops and tours of our historic facilities.
