Stro Companies ( Stro ) was co-founded in 1994 by childhood friends, Steven Millstein and Robert Bernard. The name, Stro, was derived from a combination of the two co-founders first names. From the beginning, Stro's mission has been to purchase commercial real estate in Northern NJ that has value creation potential. By 1996 Stro had 1, 000, 000 sq. ft. under its belt. Through one of its related investment vehicles, Stro continues to own and manage commercial properties in Northern New Jersey.
