We started out with taking in injured birds in our backyard. 30 years later we have over 1000 residents and growing. we have no paid employees only volunteers. We believe all life is precious.

Specialties

Berkshire Bird Paradise is a sanctuary for injured and unwanted birds, we are not funded but we get by with help from our friends.

The Berkshire Bird Paradise is a gem. Where else can you see emus, trumpeter swans, barn owls, turkeys, pigeons, conures, cockatoos...name a bird, it is there. This place is one man's labor of...

This bird sanctuary is very sad. It is so rundown and it looks like they just keep taking in whatever birds and trash people drop off. The outdoor cage isn't big enough for all of the birds...

This place is a gem. The passion project of Pete Dubacher and his family, for nearly 50 years they have been rescuing and rehabilitating birds. He's an expert and knows each bird and their habits....

This place is closed for the season, even though the website states that they are open. It might be a paradise for the birds but it was totally unkept and the birds are in cages with tarps...
