Maryhaven Center of Hope is one of the leading rehabilitation centers in the United States. A nonprofit organization, Maryhaven has been operational for more than 75 years. Founded by the Daughters of Wisdom, the organization has branch locations in Port Jefferson Station, Yaphank and Riverhead, N.Y. It offers a wide variety of programs for young adults, including a three-stage residential program, vocational rehabilitation, job placement, supported employment, outpatient mental health and psychosocial services, day habilitation, and weekend recreation respite. Maryhaven s vocational and placement programs provide weekly evaluations, career counseling and training, assistance in research work, referral services, and social and communication skills and work habits training. Additionally, the organization s work centers offers opportunities in electronics, document imaging, microfilming, packaging and assembly, shredding and commercial printing.
