Battery Park City Day Nursery, founded in 1986, offers a nursery program for the children of New York City. It teaches various skills to the children through a variety of activities, such as exercising to music, tabletop toys, puzzles, play-dough, art projects, reading, puppets, and matching games. The school s teachers are certified by New York state, and all its employees meet requirements set forth by the New York City Department of Health. Its children are accepted into various public, gifted and independent schools in New York City and New Jersey. Battery Park City Day Nursery is a member of the Parent's League of New York City. It works closely with Early Steps and the Independent School Admissions Association of Greater New York to place children into appropriate programs. The school also offers a creative art program that includes drama, music, instruments, songs and dance.
