Established in 1970, Ballet Hispanico is a Hispanic-American dance company and school. The company tours nationally and internationally and the core curriculum of the school is modern and Spanish dance. Ballet Hispanico provides programming for public schools in New York and around the country, called Primeros Pasos. Training programs for children at the school include adventures in dance, a beginners program, a boys workshop, teen programs and an intensive training program. The school also provides a summer program and an adults training program. In addition to the concert performances, Ballet Hispanico offers a variety of activities that include performances for young people, Latin social dance classes, master classes, movement workshops for students, orientation workshops for teachers and an artist's talk. I went to a performance last night. It was great! I was glad to see diversity in people, dance style and technique. This is a Must see. I will make it a point to definitely see more performances.
