Baker Mountain in Saranac Lake, NY is a popular hiking destination offering stunning views of Saranac Lake, Lake Flower, and the High Peaks. With a series of lookouts, this excellent hike showcases more than 20 major mountains in the area.
Located just a short distance from downtown Saranac Lake, visitors can easily access the trailhead by walking or biking from the town center. However, parking at the trailhead is extremely limited, so planning ahead is essential. Hikers can start their journey at Berkeley Green and follow the trail through the power line cut for a relaxed and enjoyable hike.

Tried to hike but it was so icy, we turned around. We weren't prepared with right footwear. Only enough parking for about 3 cars.

Our first hike of the trip. It was a nice 2 hour hike to top of mountain with a good payoff view (but not great).
