Aurora Waldorf School

Established in 1991, Waldorf School offers an academic core curriculum, as well as courses and activities for arts, music, physical development and practical work. The school s academic curriculum includes early childhood programs, elementary and junior high programs. Its early childhood programs include storytelling, singing, puppetry, dress-up, finger plays and games, watercolor painting, crayon-coloring, beeswax modeling, baking, grinding grains, washing, cleaning, nature walks, field trips, farm experiences and foreign languages. Its elementary and junior high programs include a main lesson, reading, special subjects including eurhythmy, foreign language, form drawing, gym class, handwork and music, history, literature, geography, sciences, mathematics, English and grammar, woodwork and modeling. The school also hosts various sports teams and provides creative development classes, cocurricular activities and language development classes. The school is in West Falls, N.Y.
