Ararat Youth & Conference Center
The Armenian General Athletic Union and Scouts, known as Homenetmen, is a non-profit organization established in 1918 that emphasizes the importance of a strong mind in a strong body, aiming to provide Armenian American youth with moral, physical, and social education. With nearly 2,300 members, the Glendale chapter is the largest in the United States, serving the community by offering family-oriented scouting, athletic, cultural, educational, and volunteer programs.
Homenetmen plays a vital role in fostering a healthy environment for teenagers and young adults, engaging them in organized after-school and weekend activities that promote volunteerism, citizenship, and teamwork while shielding them from negative influences such as drugs and crime. The organization has positively impacted over 10,000 children, young adults, and seniors in the Glendale community since its inception in 1978.
