The Aqueduct Racetrack is shabby, except for the NYRA studio upstairs, which makes it appear much nicer on TV than it really is. Another review mentioned "grimy' which is the perfect description....

Aqueduct Racetrack, located in Jamaica, N.Y., is one of the leading thoroughbred racing facilities in the United States. Its complex includes two dirt tracks and a turf track. Established in 1850s, Aqueduct Racetrack originally opened in South Ozone Park in New York. The racetrack is a part of the New York Racing Association. Aqueduct Racetrack organizes a variety of stakes races, such as the Interborough Handicap, Ruthless and Dearly Precious. The racetrack also operates a horse riding store that provides a wide range of merchandise, such as t-shirts, books, apparels, sporting goods, video games and gift items. Its Web site provides updates on the events, entries, racing schedules and results.
