Formed in 1952, the Antique Wireless Museum is dedicated to the history of the technologies used to communicate from the first telegram to today's wireless text messaging. Located in the Finger Lakes Region of New York, the Museum is just a short drive from Rochester and Canandaigua. Visit the Museum and experience 200 years of communication history. Walk through the actual Delano, California Voice of America Station Control Room and a 250,000 Watt Collins Transmitter. See the first cell phone (cell phone number 1), hear the thunder of a 1,000 Watt spark transmitter demonstrated, see the Western Union Museum exhibit, the Titanic Radio Room exhibit, the first transistor radio ever made, walk into a 1925 radio store, see the first television in Rochester, and much, much more. Kids and teens are always admitted free.
