Anthony J. Smith, M.D.

Dr. Aliza Solomon is Associate Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at Weill Cornell Medicine and Fellowship Director of the Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition Training Program. She is also an Associate Attending Pediatrician at NewYork-Presbyterian Phyllis and David Komansky Children's hospital. Dr. Solomon is board-certified in Pediatric Gastroenterology. Her clinical expertise includes all aspects of pediatric gastroenterology with a clinical focus on Eosinophilic Esophagitis/Allergic GI Disorders and Inflammatory Bowel Disease. She is the Director of the Eosinophilic GI Disorders Program. She created and is the Director of the Food Allergy and InTolerance Support Group. Dr. Solomon also established an unsedated Transnasal Endoscopy Program for children at Weill Cornell. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Solomon serves as the Director of the Pediatric Gastroenterology Fellowship Program. She currently divides her time between patient care, clinical research, and mentoring residents and fellows. In 2016 she received the Teri Li Award in Education from the North American Society of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition in Montreal Canada. In 2021, Dr Solomon received the Distinguished Physician Award from the Crohn's and Colitis Foudation.Dr. Solomon received her B.A. in Psychology from Queens College in 1997. She completed her training in osteopathy at New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, earning her D.O. degree in 2002. After completing a three-year residency in pediatrics at Infants and Children's Hospital of Brooklyn, Maimonides Medical Center in 2005, Dr. Solomon was selected for a Fellowship in Pediatric Gastroenterology at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center, which she completed in 2008. Also that year, Dr. Solomon completed the American Neurogastroenterology and Motility Society's clinical training program at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.Dr Solomon is an appointed member of the Board of Health in Englewod, NJ and is currently serving as the Vice President. Dr. Solomon is actively involved in clinical research as well as education. Dr. Kalliope Tsirilakis is the Director of Pediatric Pulmonology and the Pediatric Asthma Center at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens. She is also an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at Weill Cornell Medicine and an assistant attending pediatrician at New York-Presbyterian Komansky Children's Hospital. A lifelong New Yorker, born in Brooklyn and raised in Westchester, she graduated from Weill-Cornell Medical College and completed her residency in Pediatrics at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center. Dr. Tsirilakis continued her training at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore in the Bronx, where she completed a Fellowship in Pediatric Respiratory Medicine. She is Board Certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Pulmonology. Her expertise includes the full spectrum of pediatric pulmonary conditions, with special expertise in Severe Asthma, Patient Education, Quality Improvement, Flexible Bronchoscopy, and Aerodigestive disorders. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Tsirilakis is involved in research and education. She has several research interests spanning Quality Improvement Initiatives, Asthma Education Programs, Health Care Disparities, Telehealth programs, and Pathophysiologic and Inflammatory Mechanisms of Asthma. Dr. Tsirilakis is also active in community engagement, working closely with St. Mary’s Home Care Program and the NYP Queens Community Health Worker Program . She is Chairperson of the American Lung Association’s Asthma Coalition of New York City, and serves as faculty in their Asthma Educator Institute. She is also lead faculty advisor on the New York State Department of Health’s BREATHE-NY asthma education program. She is fluent in Modern Greek and conversational in Spanish.

Dr. Katharina Graw-Panzer is an assistant professor of pediatrics at Weill Cornell Medicine, she is the Director of the Pediatric Sleep and Breathing Disorders Center at WCM, the Director of the Pediatric Pulmonology Fellowship Program at WCM and the Pulmonary Director of the Pediatric Aerodigestive Program and the Pediatric Technology Dependence/Home Ventilation Program. She is an assistant attending pediatrician at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center, NewYork-Presbyterian Komansky Children's Hospital, and NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, where she is providing sleep consultations. Dr. Graw-Panzer is board certified in Pediatrics, Pediatric Pulmonology and in Sleep Medicine. She has extensive experience and interest in the evaluation and treatment of children with upper and lower airway dysfunction, with complex medical disorders, dependence on technology and sleep disorders.Dr. Graw-Panzer received her medical education at the University of Hamburg in Germany and completed her residency training in Pediatrics and a fellowship in Pediatric Pulmonology at SUNY Downstate Medical Center. Her recent research experience includes the effect of obstructive sleep apnea on learning and memory in children, the clinical manifestations of children with sickle cell disease and periodic limb movements in sleep as well as to examine the health care utilization in children with long-term tracheostomy tubes who live at home.She is Fluent in English and German.
