I am a minimally-invasive abdominal surgeon specializing in surgical weight loss (bariatric surgery), complex abdominal wall and hernia repair, and anti-reflux and heartburn surgery. Utilizing a combination of traditional, laparoscopic, and robotic techniques, I tailor a treatment plan to fit each patient's individual needs. As a surgeon I believe that each patient should be offered the full breadth of treatment options in order to have the best possible result for them.I received my medical education at Case Western Reserve University and the Cleveland Clinic, and my surgical training at the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York. I later underwent advanced bariatric, laparoscopic and robotic surgical training at Stony Brook University Hospital on Long Island. In addition to my clinical work, I have spoken nationally and published numerous peer-reviewed scientific papers and textbook chapters in the fields of bariatric surgery, robotics, and hernia surgery. I am an active volunteer with the American Red Cross, serving on the Board of Directors for the Long Island Chapter.
