Andrea Yoo, MD obtained her undergraduate degree at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY. She attended medical school at NYU Grossman School of Medicine and completed her Neurology residency at New York Presbyterian-Weill Cornell, serving as Chief Resident during her final year. She subsequently completed a fellowship in Movement Disorders at Mount Sinai Beth Israel under the mentorship of Dr. Susan Bressman and Dr. Rachel Saunders-Pullman. She was also an Edmond J. Safra Fellow in Movement Disorders in collaboration with the Edmond J. Safra Foundation and Michael J. Fox Foundation, emphasizing training of clinician-scientists.Dr. Yoo is an Assistant Professor of Neurology at Weill Cornell Medicine and a board-certified neurologist with the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She specializes in Movement Disorders, including Parkinson’s disease, dystonia, ataxia, tics, chorea and gait disorders. She is experienced in botulinum toxin injections for craniofacial dystonia, cervical dystonia, limb dystonia, spasticity, sialorrhea, and hemifacial spasms. In addition, she is also trained to evaluate patients for and manage programming of deep brain stimulation (DBS).

These include cochlear implants, congenital hearing loss including congenital cytomegalovirus infection, progressive hearing loss, cholesteatoma, conductive hearing loss and microtia as well as treatment with hearing aids, bone conduction sound processors, otologic reconstructive surgery, and cochlear implantation. She is also experienced with the management of cleft palate and velopharyngeal insufficiency affecting speech and swallowing.Dr. Drusin is also experienced in the management of airway and swallowing disorders including laryngeal clefts, airway narrowing, and obstructive sleep apnea with minimally invasive endoscopic techniques as well as open procedures. She is also trained in the management of congenital and acquired neck masses including thyroglossal duct and branchial cleft cysts, enlarged lymph nodes, and vascular anomalies including hemangioma.Throughout her career, Dr. Drusin has been recognized with awards for her service and teaching. She graduated from Weill Cornell Medical College in 2003 where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Honor Society and received the Janet Glasgow Memorial Achievement Award and Joan Severino Prize in Internal Medicine. She also received a Master of Public Health degree with a concentration in Clinical Effectiveness from the Harvard School of Public Health in 2011.She completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at New York Presbyterian Hospital-Weill Cornell Medicine, where she also served as an Assistant Chief Resident. She also completed a non-invasive cardiovascular imaging fellowship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
