Amvets Thrift Store

AMVETS Thrift Store, located in Buffalo, N.Y., operates under American Veterans and has store locations in Brockton, Mass., Jennings, Mo., Depew and West Seneca, N.Y., and Knoxville and Memphis, Tenn. AMVETS operations worldwide are administered through the office of the national commander and various departments that include administrative, finance, human resources, legislative, membership, programs, communications and service. The bulk of the organization s work includes working with veterans and communities and focusing on legislation, programs and services. A nationwide cadre of AMVETS national service officers offers information, counseling and claims service to all honorably discharged veterans and their dependents concerning disability compensation, hospitalization, rehabilitation, pension, education, employment and other benefits. Accredited by the Department of Veterans Affairs, AMVETS NSOs are trained in all aspects of veterans' benefits and are knowledgeable about changes in regulations, entitlements, policies and procedures.
