Dr. Allegra Cummings is a board-certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist and has maintained a thriving OB/GYN practice in New York City since 2002. While she is interested in all aspects of the specialty, she has a special interest in supporting women who choose vaginal birth after cesarean section (VBAC). Dr. Cummings received her undergraduate education at Barnard College, Columbia University. She earned her medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, in the Bronx, and was active in the Student National Medical Association, serving as Regional Director for New York and New Jersey. Dr. Cummings completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital in New York City, which is now part of Mount Sinai. During her residency, she was awarded the David B. Crawford Prize for professionalism and leadership. She also was a finalist for a teaching award presented by the medical students at Columbia University. In 2011, while Dr. Cummings was a faculty attending, the obstetrics and gynecology residents at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital chose her as their best teacher. She is also the recipient of the National Faculty Award of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Dr. Cummings is fluent in English and speaks functional Spanish.

Dr. Buckley is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine.

Dr. Farzaneh Nabizadeh is a faculty attending physician in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Nabizadeh is an experienced, board-certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist. Her skills and interests encompass the full range of obstetrics and gynecology. Dr. Nabizadeh earned a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Ottawa. She received her medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine. Dr. Nabizadeh’s life as an obstetrician-gynecologist has included formal awards for the teaching of residents and medical students, as well as research into women’s health, including a paper on hydrothermal endometrial ablation, a minimally invasive alternative for uterine fibroids. She also has an impressive history of medical volunteerism: she has worked with Doctors Without Borders since 2012, visited Guatemala with Surgicorp in 2015, and provided free medical care in Worchester at a local church-run clinic.Dr. Nabizadeh is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She speaks English, German, and Farsi.In her free time, she runs, boxes, and loves to read poetry.
