I am a board-certified dermatologist who specializes in adult and pediatric medical and surgical dermatology as well as cosmetic dermatology. My ultimate goal is to provide the best possible care for my patients. I will take the time to listen to your concerns so we together can make the best decisions for your course of treatment and overall skin health.Whether you are coming to see me for your acne, psoriasis, or a newly diagnosed skin cancer, I will strive to provide quality care and treatment in a very caring environment. My staff and I work hard to ensure that your experience in our office is an exceptional one.In addition to treating numerous dermatologic conditions, I also have extensive experience in a wide array of cosmetic procedures including injectable soft tissue fillers, Botox for wrinkles and excess sweating, chemical peels for facial rejuvenation, treatment of spider veins/leg veins, microneedling, and a variety of laser treatments including laser treatment for hair removal, broken vessels, brown and red spots, acne, scars, and wrinkles.I have published articles on medical and cosmetic dermatology in peer-reviewed journals and co-authored a chapter in a textbook on aesthetic rejuvenation. I feel well regarded in my community, earning multiple accolades for quality and patient-centered care. I have received Compassionate Doctor Recognition, Patient s Choice Award and America s Top Dermatologists for the past several years. I was also named a NY Top Doc in 2017.

Dr. Rekhtman is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Dermatology at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra / Northwell. He is board certified in dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology. Dr. Rekhtman is also the Co-Director of the Inpatient Dermatology Consultation Service at Northshore University Hospital, Long Island Jewish Hospital, and Cohen's Children Medical Center. He additionally serves as the Program Director for the Residency Training Program in Dermatology at Northwell Health. Dr. Rekhtman received a Doctorate in Pharmacy from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. While working as a clinical pharmacist at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Dr. Rekhtman also pursued a Master of Public Health specializing in Healthcare Policy and Management at the Boston University School of Public Health. This led to his induction into the Delta Omega Honor Society for public health and the Upsilon Phi Delta Honor Society for healthcare management. Dr. Rekhtman went on to earn is medical degree from the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He subsequently completed his residency in dermatology at Northwell Health where he served as Academic Chief Resident in his final year. Dr. Rekhtman's clinical interests include inpatient consultative dermatology, cutaneous drug toxicities, general dermatology, complex medical dermatology, and rheumatic skin diseases (i.e. lupus, dermatomyositis, psoriasis, vasculitis, etc.). His Research interests are primarily focused on inpatient and acute dermatologic conditions as well as on cutaneous drug toxicities. Dr. Rekhtman also has a strong interest in medical student and dermatology resident education. Dr. Rekhtman has served in a variety of leadership roles, including membership on the Council of Science and Research, as well as the Healthcare Finance Committee within the American Academy of Dermatology. He also serves on multiple graduate medical educational committees within Northwell Health.
