Jeffrey Zabinski, MD, MSW, is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, where he leads the ketamine treatment program within the interventional psychiatry services. He is an expert in psychotherapy and psychopharmacology for patients with difficult to treat and medically complex psychiatric illnesses. Dr. Zabinski has played a pivotal role in the launch and expansion of intranasal esketamine and IV ketamine services, and previously was the inaugural liaison to neurology and neurosurgery. His professional interests include neuropsychiatry, delirium, medical ethics, interventional psychiatry, and psychedelics. He has also completed psychedelic psychotherapy training programs that inform his compassionate, interdisciplinary approach. Beyond his clinical and research contributions, Dr. Zabinski is a dedicated educator and mentor to medical students, residents, fellows, and graduate students. He is a recipient of the Leonard Tow Humanism in Medicine Award, a member of the expert faculty of ASKP3, and a previous Webb Fellow in the ACLP. Dr. Zabinski’s diverse academic background includes a BSE in biomedical engineering, an MA in bioethics, and an MSW. He completed clinical training at Johns Hopkins Hospital for residency, where he served as Chief Resident, followed by a fellowship in consultation liaison psychiatry at NYU before joining the faculty at Columbia.

As the Medical and Laboratory Director at Columbia University Fertility Center, Eric Forman, MD, HCLD, oversees the medical practice as well as the IVF embryology and andrology laboratories. He also actively sees patients with infertility and those seeking to preserve their fertility. Dr. Forman has extensive clinical and laboratory research experience. He has published more than 50 articles in peer-reviewed journals on a wide range of topics in assisted reproductive technology (ART) and serves as an Associate Editor at Fertility and Sterility. He has a special interest in using preimplantation genetic screening (PGS) to optimize IVF and improve selection for elective single embryo transfer (eSET). A randomized controlled trial he led demonstrated, for the first time, that transferring a single chromosomally-normal embryo can achieve the same live birth rates as transferring two untested embryos. After publication of this paper, eSET rates skyrocketed and the American Society for Reproductive Medicine references Dr. Forman’s study in its guideline on the number of embryos to transfer in IVF. He also has an interest in fertility preservation, and a study he led proved that egg freezing using the rapid vitrification technology does not increase the risk of genetic abnormalities in the resulting embryos. This study was cited as a “watershed in ART” by one of the world’s leading experts on cryopreservation. Dr. Forman specializes in providing individualized patient care to solve each unique couple’s challenge. Dr. Berman has served as Director for the Program in Experimental Brain Stimulation, a component of the Division of Experimental Therapeutics in the department of Psychiatry at the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and the New York State Psychiatric Institute. He is currently responsible for the day to day operation of the ECT service at NYPH Irving Campus, 9 Garden North including outpatient continuation ECT. At ColumbiaDoctors Midtown he conducts evaluations for ECT and other brain stimulation treatments as well as pharmacotherapies for complex mood disorders. He received his undergraduate education at Yale University and his MD and PhD from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine. He completed his residency in psychiatry at Columbia University Medical Center and New York State Psychiatric Institute, prior to research fellowships there in Affective Disorders and Substance Abuse. He has been recipient of a NARSAD Young Investigator Award and a K08 Award from NIDA, studying striatal mechanisms for integration of hedonic drive and stress in rodent models with emphasis on systems affected by both nicotine and stress. Dr. Berman has extensive background in brain stimulation treatments such as Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS), tDCS (transcranial direct current stimulation), Deep Brain Stimulation and Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT). He has been credentialed at Columbia in ECT, rTMS, and other brain stimulation techniques, and has served as Medical Director for the Brain and Behavior Clinic and Brain Stimulation Service Outpatient Clinic.
