Adam D. Bitterman, DO is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon and an Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. He serves as the chairman for the department of orthopaedic surgery and is the associate program director for the orthopaedic surgery residency program at Huntington Hospital. He is a foot and ankle specialist and has a focus in treating conditions of the lower leg. His clinical interests include arthritis of the foot and ankle, deformity correction, Achilles tendon disorders, and sports-related injuries to the ankle and foot. He is highly skilled in arthroscopic, minimally invasive, and open approaches for various conditions surrounding the lower foot and ankle. Dr. Bitterman is a graduate of Binghamton University and pursued his medical education at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at North Shore-LIJ Plainview Orthopaedic Consortium before graduating from Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois where he completed his foot and ankle fellowship training. While in Chicago, he worked along side the team physicians for the Chicago Bulls and Chicago White Sox. Additionally, he won the Jorge A. Galante Research Fellow Award for his work on Achilles tendinosis. His research interests include clinical outcomes after foot and ankle surgery, Achilles tendon pathology, patient comprehension and residency training. He has co-authored several peer-reviewed articles in orthopaedic journals and books chapters in orthopaedic textbooks. Dr. Bitterman has lectured to his peers as well as allied health professionals on various topics involving the lower extremity at local, regional and national meetings. Dr. Bitterman's goal is to create a personalized treatment plan for each patient in order to relieve pain, restore function, improve one's quality of life and return them to their pre-injury state. A native of Commack, born in Huntington Hospital, he is excited to return home and practice at the Northwell Health Orthopaedic Institute at Huntington.

Dr. Bisogno was himself born at Huntington Hospital and is proud to serve the community in which he grew up. He received a BS in biomedical engineering from Johns Hopkins University prior to attending medical school at SUNY University at Buffalo. Dr. Bisogno completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery at Stony Brook University Hospital and then went on to complete a voluntary fellowship in hip and knee reconstruction at Northwell Health's Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan. Dr. Bisogno is a diplomate of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and a member of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons and the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. He has authored both research studies and operative techniques in numerous orthopaedic journals.
