Established in 1902, Pattersonville Telephone Company provides telecommunication services and products to several businesses and residents in New York. Based in Rotterdam Junction, N.Y., the firm s services include basic phone calling, digital subscriber line (DSL) service and long distance services. Its products include pagers, phones and DSL modems. Its Bravo classic pagers has 16 message slots, message lock, low-cell alert, message-time stamp, time display, reminder alert, individual or all delete and backlight display function. Pattersonville Telephone Company offers single-line desk phones and single-line wall phones.

Established in 1897, The Middleburgh Telephone Company is currently celebrating over 110 years of service. It is one of the oldest of New York State's 40 independent telephone companies. Today, the company serves over 7,000 customers throughout 330 square miles of Schoharie County and parts of Albany County. MIDTEL has received a second grant award of 6.8M from the New NY Broadband Grant Program. This grant will bring fiber optic based broadband services with up to 1Gbps in speed to nearly 1600 additional homes and businesses in the towns of Blenheim, Broome, Carlisle, Cobleskill, Conesville, Fulton, Gilboa, Jefferson, Middleburgh, Richmondville, Schoharie, Summit and Wright. Combined with MIDTELs private investment, this project totals 8.5M in infrastructure improvements. In total between MIDTELs two grant projects, over 15.5M will be invested in fiber optic infrastructure in Schoharie County.

Berkshire Communicators, based in Pittsfield, Mass., offers telephone answering, voice mail and paging services. The company has been operational for more than 60 years and employs over 25 individuals. With its advanced computer aided telemessaging system, Berkshire can process more than 3,000 calls per week. Its state-of-the-art Central Alarm Monitoring Station is staffed 24-hours and seven-days a week including backup with a redundant system. Additionally, the Companion Program offered by Berkshire is designed and manufactured by General Electric Co CareGard, a personal emergency response system.
