914 Sound Studios

History

The name 914 Sound Studios comes from a recording studio up in Blauvelt, NY back in the 1970's. Some of the artists who recorded tracks and albums in the studio were Bruce Springsteen, Dusty Springfield, Ramones, Janis Ian, Blood, Sweat & Tears and Melanie. It was named after telephone area code 914 which had, until the year 2000, served as the area code for Rockland County where the studio was located. There are already plenty of great recording studios here in Westchester and although the new 914 Sound Studios is not a recording facility, it is still a home for artists to hone in on their creativity, find inspiration, and get tight as a band so when you do enter the studio to record, you will be way ahead of the game!
