Las Cumbres Community Services started in 1970 with a structured program of day habilitation services for developmentally disabled adults. It is presently a nonprofit organization and operates a preschool. The organization serves more than 5,000 individuals residing in Rio Arriba, Los Alamos and Santa Fe counties. It offers adult, respite and personal care, and child and family services. Las Cumbres Community Services provides residential, employment and community integration support for individuals with developmental disabilities. Its child and family services program focuses on early intervention and early childhood mental health. The organization also offers multidisciplinary training to early childhood education providers. It is a member of United Way of Northern New Mexico. Las Cumbres Community Services has a location in Espa ola, N.M.
