The Southwest Women's Fiber Arts Collective, incorporated in 2005, is a grassroots non-profit organization dedicated to stimulating and supporting the successful cottage fiber industry in the Southwest. Their mission is to celebrate fiber art and realize its economic potential by nurturing and empowering both novice and skilled fiber artists, while enriching the community through opportunities to experience, learn, and earn.

With a focus on communication and information sharing among artisans and guilds, the collective improves opportunities for everyone working in fiber arts to gain skills and financial independence. They offer a variety of events, including a monthly Mental Health and Fiber Day gathering for socializing and show and tell, as well as an annual Tapestry of Talent Fashion Show featuring unique one-of-a-kind fiber art wearables, with sales and raffles held immediately after the show. The collective's ongoing efforts aim to create a strong networking structure that fosters growth and success in the vibrant world of fiber arts.
