Sweetser Edward R MD

Dr. Edward Sweetser is a board certified orthopedic surgeon who received his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C. He also completed his residency in Orthopedic Surgery at Georgetown, and then spent 2 years in the US Air Force, at Homestead AFB, in Florida. Prior to moving to Las Cruces, Dr. Sweetser practiced in Albuquerque, where he was active in the medical staff and spent five years as the Chief Medical Officer. While in Albuquerque, he served on the clinical faculty of the University of New Mexico, Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation. Dr. Sweetser is an experienced surgeon, with nearly 30 years in practice. His focus is on joint replacement surgery. He remains very active in the medical staff, serving as chief of staff at MountainView, as well as on the Board of Trustees.
