Quintana Learning Center

Founded as an agricultural college and preparatory school, New Mexico State University has been operational for more than 100 years. One of the leading providers of higher education in the United States, it enrolls more than 7,000 undergraduate and graduate students annually. The university has campuses in Alamogordo, Carlsbad, Grants and Dona Ana, N.M. It is approved by Commission on Institutions of Higher Education of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. It offers majors in more than 35 academic areas, including accounting, American studies, anthropology and sociology, fine arts, biology, chemistry, business administration, classical studies, criminal justice, economics, childhood education, mechanical and civil engineering, English literature, and environmental studies. The university also offers majors in world history, human services, individualized studies, mathematics, medical technology, vocational and instrumental music, nursing, philosophy and religion, political science, psychology, public affairs, and social studies. Additionally, it offers various intercollegiate, intramural and recreational sports programs.
