Posa’s restaurants have been serving the Santa Fe community and tourists for 65 years. Known for its handmade tamales, which are still made the “Original Way.” Posa’s is considered a fast casual New Mexican restaurant, offering a wide variety of quality Mexican and New Mexican dishes. The restaurants have come a long way from the days of Aurora Lujan’s house kitchen. The business was purchased by her daughter Carmen and husband Antonito Posa. Their son Jeff Posa continues to run the tamale factory since their retirement, Both restaurant locations are committed to keeping the traditions that have made them a local favorite. Posa’s restaurant on Zafarano serves delicious handmade tamales smothered in red or green chile. Classic crunchy frito pies, made with spicy chile. The Zafarano restaurant on the South Side of town also offers sizzling fajitas and taco plates. Posa’s also serves delicious and traditional Menudo for those days when you need a comforting dish.
