Mountain States Insurance Group provides property/casualty insurance products and services to business owners in Colorado, New Mexico and Texas. In 1994, the company organized a fully-owned stock subsidiary, Mountain States Indemnity Company. The subsidiary gave Mountain States added flexibility in providing insurance to most classes of business. In recognition of the company's strength and stability, A.M. Best, one of the leading rating organizations of insurance companies in the United States, has rated Mountain States 'A-' (excellent). The company has expansion plans to begin operations in several other states in the Southwest. Headquartered in Albuquerque, N.M., Mountain States Insurance Group has been serving the Rocky Mountain region since 1937.
