Had the original meal & two tacos. Pretty tasty food! Looks like they upgraded place. No more free refills of drink & didn't even have cups for ketchup.

Mac’s Steak in the Rough has been an institution in New Mexico for over 70 years. Founded by Dave McCarty in 1949 in Artesia, NM, McCarty opened Albuquerque’s first Mac’s Steak in the Rough in 1960 and the restaurant has been a New Mexican favorite ever since. The local chain was acquired by Fresquez in the early 1990’s. Featuring freshly cut and breaded juicy steak fingers, crispy fries, and our Signature Taquitas – voted the Best Taquitas in Albuquerque by Alibi magazine year after year.

This used to be my favorite spot it is now OVERPRICED and the staff is always rude and never friendly. A customer for over 35 years but the prices keep going up and the dishes get smaller....

Stop here for lunch. It's a pretty cool little place. You can order at the box or go inside . I have the steak fingers with Cole slaw and onion rings. It was very good and I would definitely try again
