Anna is very smart and kind. She takes great care of the parrots and is very informative about them. My adoption with her went really well.

Macaw & Cockatoo Rescue of New Mexico is a licensed non-profit organization dedicated to the wellbeing of all species of companion parrots, specializing in larger parrots such as macaws, cockatoos, African greys, and amazons, but also experienced in working with smaller species. Their small, home-based facility in Rio Rancho provides temporary care for approximately 40 parrots at a time, with the ultimate goal of finding each bird a loving and suitable forever home.
As an integral part of the Albuquerque community, Macaw & Cockatoo Rescue of New Mexico aims to serve pet owners by offering education, support, and services related to parrot care. They welcome inquiries about surrendering, adopting, volunteering, and learning, and are open to setting up educational seminars to share their knowledge with the public. Feedback from clients and the parrots they work with is highly valued, as it helps the organization improve their services and better serve both the community and the companion parrots in their care.
