Lawrence Brothers IGA

Lawrence Brothers is a chain of supermarkets with stores located throughout Texas, and in New Mexico. In 1929, J.M. Lawrence opened a grocery store in Sweetwater, Texas. The store was called Piggly Wiggly, which became one of the largest retail grocery franchises in the United States. In 1986, the name of the grocery store was changed to Lawrence Brothers. In addition, several stores were added to the retail grocery franchise under the name, Fiesta Foods. Presently, Lawrence Brothers operates more than 20 stores that feature deli, bakery, meat, pharmacy, grocery and produce departments. Its meat department offers steaks, sausages and prime ribs, pork and ham, beef, chicken and fish. Lawrence Brothers is affiliated with Independent Grocers Alliance, and maintains a presence in Roswell, N.M.
